I know the first day of fall was a couple of weeks ago, but we've had such beautiful weather it still felt like summer. It hasn't been since the last couple of days of damp rainy weather and frost this morning that has made me realize, it's fall. I thought that it was only appropriate to stop my summer shadows and continue them inside allowing the shadows to take new forms. This change of seasons has made me think about the change in the landscape as well as the change in shadows. I would like to follow this series with shadow paintings from the fall and winter. Even though I still have a lot of work on these paintings, I've just begun the underpainting of the fall series.
