An Art Sale for ALS (Lou Gehrig's disease) will be held from 5 to 8 p.m., Friday, Sept. 9, at CAMP Rehoboth, 37 Baltimore Ave., Rehoboth Beach. Local artists have donated more than 80 pieces of art: oils, watercolors, pastels, fabric, wood, digital photography, pottery, painted furniture, custom jewelry, half hull, beach and nautical items. One hundred percent of the proceeds will be donated to the Greater Philadelphia Chapter of ALS through the fundraising efforts of Team Ted led by Ted Pokorny, who was diagnosed in February 2010. Ted and Jo Pokorny are shown holding art pieces donated for the Art Sale.

Article on main website:

Kids Runway for Research is a non-profit organization with 501C status (held) by the Delaware Community Foundation. The event is a fun-filled fashion show presenting clothing from local boutiques and modeled by pediatric cancer survivors. The show is held every September in conjunction with Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. The majority of the proceeds from the show go directly to Nemours Center for Childhood Cancer Research with a percentage going to a recipient who also supports pediatric cancer research. This year’s recipient will be Kay’s Kamp.

I think that it's really important to give back in your own way. I know each small piece of art can add up to something wonderful. Thank you for this opportunity.

  1. Reson for the Cause.

I live and work in Hong Kong, that carzy place with 7 million sould wrapped together in a haze of pollution in a confined place...
However its one of the safest places on earth.
    Why one should wonder?

I am a painter by reason and research anylist by virtue.

Currently I am researching a condition as unusual in its context as ALS.

I recently wrote a book called " The Glass Facade" which deals with people who with severe psychological issues turn in desperation to manisfesting visions, I set about painting these as they were described to me.

Its a facinating study and my point is that throught art anything is possible.

Let me know if there is anyhting I can do to help you wonderfull cause.
