2011/2012 Currently Creating realizing the beauty of DE

After growing up in Delaware and attending college at the University of Delaware I had decided that it was time to move away and I'm so glad that I did. Now, when I come back to Delaware I am more aware of all the beauty that exists, that at one time I had taken for granted. We have such amazing beaches that glow of pinks, reds, oranges, vivid lime greens, light blues and dark blues, it is constantly changing with the light of the day and the colors are too numerous to list. The rocks of the jetty create beautiful patterns, interesting shapes and the textures on top of the rock are so diverse no two are the same. After feeling this new spark of inspiration for the landscape that I grew up with I decided that this would be my project for the summer of 2011.

8/2 finally a little scumbling

8/4: sadly a little drizzle and lots of wind makes painting inside the only option and the pictures are not as vibrant as with the natural light. Sun will be here soon for more pics, but until then.

I'll be showing these paintings in their finished state at the Rehoboth Art League Fine Art Outdoor Show. Come check them out and let me know what you think.
